Our Story

About Awaaz

Our Mission

Justice Is Not a Privilege. It Is a Right.

Awaaz was created in response to the mass arrests of students and minorities during the CJP protests across India. When the State uses its power to silence dissent, we use the law to speak back. Our mission is simple: ensure that every person arrested or detained — regardless of faith, community, or background — has access to legal representation and constitutional protection.

Constitutional Equality

We are guided by Article 14. Every person — Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist — stands equal before the law. We enforce that equality.

Dignity of the Individual

Every complaint we receive is treated with the full weight of a human life. We do not process cases — we fight for people.

Transparency & Accountability

We operate openly. Our partners are named. Our process is documented. We hold both ourselves and the State accountable.
